Watchful baby monitor

Privacy policy

Effective 13 October 2026

In short: Watchful collects nothing. It has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics. Sound and video go straight from the baby unit to your own parent devices over your Wi-Fi or hotspot. They never pass through our servers or anyone else's, and the app doesn't record them.

What the app does with information

What we collect

Nothing. We, the developer, never receive your sound, video, settings or any information about you or your devices. No third party receives them either. The app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking code.

Google Play's Data safety section lists sound and video as "collected" because they leave the baby unit. They go only to your own parent devices, live, and aren't stored.

Security

A parent unit has to enter the baby unit's 4-digit pairing code before it receives anything. The live stream between your devices is not encrypted, so use the app only on a network you trust, such as your home Wi-Fi or your own phone's hotspot.

Permissions

Children

The app is made for parents and carers. It isn't directed at children, and it doesn't collect information from anyone. The baby unit may show a child to your own parent devices, and that stays between your devices.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. For questions, use the contact email shown on Watchful's Google Play page.
